Specialist mapped out asbestos cells are created on the landfill site. Asbestos waste is tipped within the cell and covered over. Covering the asbestos with appropriate material , prevents the dispersion of asbestos fibres. The cells are for hazardous waste only and no non-hazardous waste should be mixed with it. Whether your asbestos is being disposed of at a transfer station or landfill , you still need a copy of the Hazardous Waste Consignment Note to prove your asbestos has been disposed of legally.
